Are you in your final year of law school and ready to launch an extraordinary career? Baker McKenzie Brisbane is offering two exciting Paralegal opportunities, with a clear pathway to joining our National Graduate Program in March 2027!


The role


As part of our Brisbane team, you’ll gain hands-on experience at one of the world’s leading global law firms. The days you work can be flexible, and you may work between two to five days per week to fit around your final-year study commitments. You will work directly with Partners and senior lawyers across a variety of dynamic practice areas, including:


  • Transactional Practice Group (Corporate Markets);
  • Dispute Resolution & Insolvency;
  • Commercial Real Estate;
  • Financial Services & Funds; and
  • Construction


These roles provide a pathway to a Graduate Position in March 2027 in our Brisbane office for successful candidates.


Responsibilities


Key duties of the role include but are not limited to:


  • supporting Partners and Senior Lawyers with various legal tasks;
  • preparing briefs to Counsel;
  • maintaining day-to-day contact with clients, under supervision;
  • filing and maintaining documents;
  • reviewing and advising on due diligence materials such as property searches;
  • preparing Queensland Land Registry forms to give effect to transactions; and
  • assisting with settlements (including calculating settlement figures).
