The HR Placement Student will support the HR and recruitment team with a range of generalist HR/Recruitment administration tasks and projects and gain exposure to the workings of an HR function within a global law Firm. This opportunity is ideal for students who are on track for a 2:1 degree or above which includes at least one HR or Recruitment related module.
Main responsibilities:
- New joiner, leaver, and recruitment administration
- Schedule interviews, diary management, and room bookings
- Support the onboarding process, including the organization of inductions and new joiner events
- Performance management and probation administration
- Prepare the monthly payroll file
- Benefits administration and query resolution
- Maintain HR records and systems, including reporting
- Process HR-related invoices
- Support HR projects as required
- Attend recruitment fairs and events
- Support CSR activities, including volunteer day organization
- Support the Diversity Mark submission
- Maintain social media platforms with a focus on employer branding
- Undertake other duties as required, including opportunities to gain exposure to specialist areas within the People Team, such as Recruitment
Skills and experience:
You’ll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject which includes at least one HR related module. We will determine whether you're on track for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
You'll need to be an undergraduate university student expecting/ hoping to undertake a work placement in your third year. No previous experience required.
- Proficient experience in using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously and proactively
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
- A high level of attention to detail
