Description & Requirements

The Practice Group Business Development Executive - Commercial and Dispute Resolution, Paris and Luxembourg will work closely with the Paris and Luxembourg market grouping lead and the respective PG-aligned colleagues for Paris and Luxembourg. 

The role-holder will proactively support priorities of the PGs across the Paris and Luxembourg Markets as well as  

work closely with our partners in Paris and Luxembourg and across the Region (as required) to help win profitable work. 


Main responsibilities:


  • Support the Practice Groups in Paris and Luxembourg to drive demand generation and contribute to winning new work
  • Execute BDMC activities across the Paris and Luxembourg markets, applying best practices and prioritizing initiatives based on return on investment and strategic objectives
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of pitches for the Paris and Luxembourg markets, including developing high-quality proposals and marketing collateral
  • Coordinate directories and submission processes for relevant Practice Groups, working closely with the Directories, Awards & Submissions team and other stakeholders as required
  • Support client relationship management activities for priority clients, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date client and prospect data
  • Provide marketing support to the Practice Groups, including assisting with events, webinars, and sponsorships
  • Collaborate with communications professionals to enhance the Practice Groups’ profile through appropriate internal and external channels
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance and generate insights, working with colleagues to inform decision-making
  • Conduct research and monitor market trends, applying insights to support Practice Group strategies and initiatives
  • Support the delivery of local office initiatives and broader BDMC activities as required


Skills and experience:


  • Educated to degree level and ideally with an additional business qualification / experience focusing on Business Development, Sales Marketing, Communications or related commercial subjects. 
  • Solid experience in business development, client relationship management with an international law firm or other professional/financial services environment  (at least 3+ years)
  • An understanding of the industry gained through some experience in a similar business role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong level of English is required with good business English proficiency
  • A collegiate approach and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A confident, calm, resilient and credible style with the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Reports to: The Paris and Luxembourg Lead for Commercial, DR, Employment and Tax PGs, but with close operational working relationship with the Paris and Luxembourg Market Group Lead also.

Travel requirements: May be expected to travel between Paris and Luxembourg as required from time to time. May also be required to travel regionally depending on the requirements of the PGs, although this will be limited.
