Descripción y requisitos

The Legal Secretary will provide high‑level administrative and secretarial support to attorneys, with a strong focus on billing, financial coordination, matter management, and legal administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced legal environment.


Main responsibilities:


  • Prepare, edit, and finalize draft bills; track deadlines and coordinate adjustments.
  • Support client intake, conflict checks, and matter openings.
  • Process expenses and assist with collections follow‑ups.
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate communications.
  • Arrange domestic and occasional international travel; handle expense reconciliation.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Provide cross‑team administrative support and assist with special projects.


Skills and experience:


  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrative Assistant (law firm preferred).
  • Experience with legal billing systems (Intapp Time, Intake, eBilling) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and team‑oriented; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime.
