The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Technology will manage the full Sourcing life cycle for the Firm’s worldwide Technology acquisitions from setting the sourcing strategy through ongoing contract and vendor management of goods and services for the Firm; ensuring the Firm's budget is spent in the most cost-effective and efficient means possible through the appropriate supply chain under the most favourable terms and conditions.


Main responsibilities:


  • Partner with the Technology organizations core stakeholders to effectively leverage the vendor landscape to identify savings opportunities across each category through spend aggregation, cost reduction, or cost avoidance
  • Create, negotiate and implement contracts for Technology related products or services, maintain the contract records, including addressing contract renewals as appropriate
  • Manage key enterprise agreements including Microsoft, Network Cloud solutions, SaaS, Security Products and Infrastructure
  • Manage the procurement components of the Firm's key initiatives from project inception including market analysis, vendor due diligence, Request for Proposal (RFP) process through final selection and acquisition
  • Manage key vendors, ensure adherence with contract terms, performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and long term ROI
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Director, Associate Director, other Sourcing personnel and other Procurement Manager(s) to foster growth, innovation, and operational efficiency in the ongoing transformation of the world-class procurement team
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff to ensure the team is exceeding the expectations of the core customer group
  • Provide team members with career development planning and opportunities to meet their career objectives
  • Establish, implement and maintain the procurement lifecycle strategy, including supplier selection, maintenance, and application of procurement policies and procedures
  • Maintain a broad understanding of core categories and industries through the assessment of emerging and changing business and technical needs, as well as industry best practices
  • Leverage the services of the Procure to Pay (PTP) team to facilitate compliance with vendor contracts


Skills and experience:


  • Relevant undergraduate degree
  • Experience in a procurement lead role, within a professional services organization
  • Can understand the business risk components related to procurement, including general legal, financial, supply chain, and technology risks
  • Able to balance competing priorities based on an understanding of team/business needs
  • Demonstrable experience in the successful management of key enterprise agreements including Microsoft, Network Cloud solutions, SaaS, Security Products and Infrastructure
  • Proven experience and knowledge of procurement principles and best practices associated with the full procurement life cycle
  • Proven achievement with the delivery of long- and short-term cost savings
  • Able to develop team continuity and meet team priorities through strong influence and leadership
  • Experience in the identification of cost savings and efficiency opportunities in the Supply Chain and the implementation of the same.
  • Experience in Contract review
  • Experience with Contracts with Data Privacy Components
