The Desktop Platforms Engineer will participate in multiple technical teams, including Citrix, Windows Desktop, and Microsoft Intune/SCCM, and contribute to various projects across all functional areas. The role-holder will be a member of the Desktop Platforms team, one of the technical groups that comprises the Firm’s Infrastructure area.

Main responsibilities: 

• Create and maintain a single and global desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) containing all core software components and configurations utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the deployment and management of desktop, laptop, and mobile devices 
• Monitor the performance and health of cloud-based and on-premise devices and take corrective action as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve user connectivity issues with applications, allocated licenses, devices, and conditional access policies
• Create and maintain a single global Citrix/RDS server baseline build
• Maintain and manage Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 
• Maintain the Firm's mobile computing environment
• Package core and specialized applications in a consistent and modular way so that they can be published, pushed, or pulled down on demand
• Create and define hardware standards for new Firm owned desktop and laptop purchases
• Define, develop, and review AVD/W365, RDS/Citrix, Mobile, and Workstation standards, policies and recommendations as needed
• Establish processes to ensure that local office feedback is incorporated into standards and policies
• Ensure duplication of effort and re-engineering is minimized
• Ensure that knowledge is captured and shared efficiently to reduce incident resolution times
• Assist in the continual development and expansion of existing RDS/Citrix and MEM toolsets to deliver the best possible user experience to all clients within the Firm
• Participate and collaborate on global, regional, and local projects

Skills and experience: 

• Experienced Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) with solid working knowledge of a wide variety of desktop hardware: Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop, server/client, including peripherals; as well as operating systems, virtual computing, and general business applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Desktop OS, Group Policies, AD/AAD, AVD, and Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows Server and Hyper‑V is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM), including detailed knowledge of its use in patching, application delivery, and operating system deployment in an enterprise environment
• Experience in working with Microsoft Cloud Technologies and Microsoft 365
• Proficient in scripting and packaging applications for enterprise deployment; PowerShell is preferred
• Willing to work overtime as necessary, including different shifts; on-call shift duty is mandatory
