The Clients & Sectors Senior Executive – Industrials, Manufacturing & Transport / Energy, Mining & Infrastructure (IMT/EMI) will support Managers, Associate Directors, and the Industrials, Manufacturing & Transport / Energy, Mining & Infrastructure (IMT/EMI) Lead with the full spectrum of client relationship management and business development initiatives focused on growing the Firm’s IMT/EMI program clients.
The role-holder will deliver strong client management support to ensure seamless client service and operational excellence. The individual will act as an ambassador for the Client Program and collaborate with global, regional, and local BD colleagues to develop the Firm’s largest client relationships.
Leveraging the Firm’s Alliance of Alliances (AoA) Strategy and Client Program infrastructure, the role-holder will deploy advanced analytics and technology platforms to support data-informed strategic decisions.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of key IMT/EMI clients and the broader sector and sub-sectors in which they operate
- Develop an understanding of the Firm’s broader strategy, including the Firm’s strengths, leadership, and key offerings such as high‑value products, CLEs, Pro Bono, Sustainability, and DEI initiatives
- Support the mapping of client contacts using available technology, tools, and resources, and maintain updated records
- Prepare and deliver client reports using technology and AI, providing specific insights; ensure accuracy and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions
- Support client team communications using technology and AI, including preparing agendas, notes, and follow‑ups for regular team meetings, organizing client team townhalls, and preparing speaking notes and slides; support the drafting of internal client blog posts
- Support pitches and proposals at the direction of the Clients & Sector Lead, IMT/EMI
- Assist with aspects of client conferences, including strategic planning and implementation
- Repurpose content for sales enablement and client communications
- Take ownership of other client projects as directed by the Clients & Sector Lead, IMT/EMI
Skills and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience in marketing and/or business development in a professional services environment
- Understanding of the basics of client relationship management
- Able to contribute confidently to business development discussions with timekeepers
- Able to adopt a flexible approach when working with different personalities
- Strong research and analysis capabilities, allied to excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong project coordination and time management skills
- Can demonstrate initiative and is a self-starter
- Able to work effectively with people at all levels, including senior stakeholders
- Able to present ideas and views clearly and with confidence
- Strong commercial awareness and client-led approach
- Creative problem‑solving skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms, and open to building skills in new Firm technologies and tools
- Flexibility to work a reasonable shifting schedule for a global role
