About Baker McKenzie

Baker McKenzie is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious law firms, with 74 offices across 45 countries. As the first international law firm in the Netherlands, our Amsterdam office has decades of experience in cross-border legal and tax work. We employ around 200 lawyers, tax advisors and civil-law notaries, serving leading Dutch and international clients.

If you want to truly experience life at a global law firm, join us for a two‑month full‑time internship and become part of our team.

The Tax practice

Our Tax practice is highly respected for combining deep technical expertise with practical, commercial solutions. We advise, assist and litigate where necessary, often working closely with our legal and notarial colleagues as well as Baker McKenzie offices around the world.

Within our Amsterdam Tax Practice, approximately 75 professionals work across multiple specialisations:

Our Corporate & International Tax (Direct Tax) team assists Dutch and international clients with transactional and advisory work, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganisations and disputes.

Our Indirect Tax team advises listed multinationals and leading companies on VAT matters and contributes to the further development of a strong global VAT and customs practice.

Our Transfer Pricing team consists of tax professionals, economists and analysts who work on tax planning, cross-border transactions, financial modelling, advanced economic analyses and the development of innovative solutions for our global clients.

Finally, our Employee Benefits team provides advice on employment taxes, social security, remuneration, tax audits and cross‑border employee assignments.
