We are currently looking for a junior attorney to join our Banking & Finance team in Baker McKenzie Buenos Aires office. We are looking for a candidate fluent in English, with a strong commitment to client service and team focus to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships.

The search is aimed at lawyers with knowledge in the following areas:

• Loans and collateral and personal guarantees.
 • Regulations of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic, with a particular focus on foreign exchange law.
 • Regulatory framework applicable to Fintech.
 • Regulations of the National Securities Commission, with a particular focus on the regulation of capital market transactions, whether local or international.
 • Money laundering – UIF.
 • M&A processes (term sheets, MOUs, due diligence, transaction documents and closings), including mergers, spin-offs, and acquisitions of shares or assets, among others.

Our Banking & Finance practice group

Our practice group uses state-of-the-art techniques to efficiently structure, negotiate and document agreements. With extensive experience advising borrowers and lenders, we help clients avoid hardships and navigate complex financial and currency exchange regulations.

We have participated in the structuring and negotiation of numerous agreements, acting on the side of both the lenders and the borrowers. This fact provides us with the necessary experience to understand the main concerns that both parties may have in a transaction and is useful to find common ground between the parties in a negotiation. Our active participation and experience in the currency area have allowed us to create innovative transactions for clients to face local challenges by developing a unique practice in the local market. Likewise, we have successfully negotiated with the new authorities in charge of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic important amendments to the local exchange regulations, allowing our clients to operate in Argentina.
