Baker McKenzie's Global Franchise, Distribution and Brand Expansion Practice combines deep experience with technical knowledge and business acumen to address any franchise or other brand-expansion-related issue, both domestically and globally. Our team has decades of experience advising brand clients on the structuring and operation of their franchise and other distribution programs. We represent brand companies throughout their life cycles employing various expansion methods, including traditional franchising, licensing, joint ventures, direct investment, and supply chain development. We have assisted our brand clients across the globe, and we are intimately familiar with the franchise laws and other legal frameworks affecting brand expansion on a global basis.

 

We are seeking a highly-motivated Mid-Level Associate to join our Band 1 Chambers-ranked practice. The position would be based in our Dallas, Texas office. Our high-performing team greatly values an in-person culture and is therefore not considering remote candidates for this position. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in a transactional practice at a large law firm, is intellectually curious, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has long-term career goals.

 

Candidates must have strong analytical and writing skills, exceptional speaking and interpersonal skills and the ability to function smoothly in a global-team environment with culturally diverse team members. Additionally, candidates must be admitted to and be a member in good standing of the Texas state bar.

Pay Transparency 

  • This position is bonus eligible and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) based on number of hours worked. 
  • The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $260,000 to $365,000 (annually or hourly) if located in an office in the state of Texas. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
