The Trade, Sanctions & Customs subgroup is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Specialist to support data-intensive client matters and database management activities. This role plays a critical part in the execution of customs, trade, and regulatory engagements by managing large volumes of structured data, conducting database reviews, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information required for client services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain client databases and inventory control systems.
- Review, validate, analyze, and process large volumes of structured data related to customs and international trade matters.
- Support customs audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Perform data cleansing, reconciliation, and quality control activities.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support legal and consulting teams.
- Identify inconsistencies, risks, or data integrity issues and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with lawyers, legal professionals, and clients on data-driven projects.
- Assist with database administration and ongoing enhancement of data management processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support client matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, International Trade, Customs, Business Analytics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of international trade and customs processes.
- Experience managing databases and handling large datasets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with database tools and reporting platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting customs compliance programs or inventory control systems.
- Knowledge of customs audits and trade compliance requirements.
- Experience working in professional services, consulting, or legal environments.
