Baker McKenzie’s U.S. antitrust team is a market leader, and has been growing significantly to meet client demands. The vibrant practice has a robust portfolio of antitrust litigation, merger clearance matters, cartel and civil conduct investigations, and cutting-edge counseling and advisory work. We are engaged on antitrust matters for some of the world's leading multinational clients for the most complex antitrust matters.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in antitrust, either in a law firm or government environment. We welcome candidates with experience and interest in antitrust litigation (governmental and private), cartel defense, analyzing transactions and/or merger control. Extensive familiarity with the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act, including the review process and its implementing rules, is preferred. The ideal candidate will also possess strong advocacy skills for representing clients before regulatory agencies, including the DOJ and FTC.
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and writing skills are required. Prior federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus. The candidate must have the ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members. Must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the Washington, DC bar or eligible to waive in to the Washington, DC bar. Pay Transparency
- This position is bonus eligible and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) based on number of hours worked.
- The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $235,000 to $365,000 (annually) if located in an office in the state of District of Columbia. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
